Rukn al-Din Suhrawardi

Rukn al-Din Suhrawardi
(?-1335)
A grandson of Baha al-Din Zakarya. Qutb al-Din Mubarak Khalji (1316-1320) asked him to set up a Suhrawardi hospice at Delhi but he declined the sug-gestion because he did not want to "intrude in the spiritual jurisdic-tion" of Nizam al-Din Auliya. He was given a large grant in Multan by Muhammad bin Tughlaq (1325-1351).
